NICU Care Management Program

Alere's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Care Management Program provides a comprehensive care management solution for premature and medically complex newborns in NICUs and special care nurseries. Our patient-centered, evidence-based and outcomes-driven program is designed to provide optimal clinical outcomes and ensure efficient resource consumption. Our program's rigorous dedication to quality measurement and reporting produces credible, positive clinical and economic results, and has been provided to more than 150,000 NICU infants across the United States.

The NICU program works with premature and medically complex newborns.

Alere's NICU Care Management Program is designed to ensure that all treating physicians and nurses involved in an infant's continuum of care have the necessary support and resources to best identify and address each infant's clinical condition(s). Our program is directed by our board-certified neonatologists and care managers who have extensive experience in the challenges that are commonly involved in caring for NICU patients. When indicated, we also consult and collaborate with nationally-recognized pediatric sub-specialists during the treatment of the most complex newborns with extreme prematurity, congenital anomalies or rare diseases.
