Preterm Labor
Alere Preterm Labor Management (PTL) helps reduce antepartum hospitalizations and healthcare expenses by providing a home-based surveillance and support system to lengthen the pregnancies of women at risk for preterm delivery.
Alere’s program offers outpatient management, expanded patient education and monitoring of the patient's condition through collection and assessment of objective and subjective information, regular telephone calls by obstetrical nurses and improved screening to facilitate early detection and intervention in response to changes in clinical status.
As the only national high-risk pregnancy management service with more than 18 years of experience in this highly-specialized medical area, Alere offers the following in-home services:
- Home uterine activity monitoring (HUAM)
- Home uterine activity monitoring with tocolytic therapy
- Subcutaneous tocolytic therapy
